Proleung Khmer (Khmer Soul) is a community-driven initiative that originated in 2025.
Proleung Khmer's mission is to preserve Khmer heritage, foster education, and inspire future generations by creating spaces for remembrance, healing, and celebration. From traditional performances and historical exhibits to engaging panel discussions and literary arts, Proleung Khmer is a testament to the enduring spirit and contributions of the Khmer diaspora.
April 17, 2025 marked the 50th anniversary of the takeover of Phnom Penh by the Khmer Rouge. During this inception year we celebrated "A 50-Year Journey of Remembrance and Resilience."
In 2026, Proleung Khmer hopes to continue to commemorate lost lives and honor survivors through a series of activities aimed at capturing and highlighting survivor stories and archiving our work from last year in digital form to share and preserve for generations to come.
